Admissions Process

If you are a resident of another country and would like to attend Central Baptist College, you’re in the right place. We offer a number of degree programs which can meet your educational needs.

For an acceptance decision and attendance all steps below must be complete and received by the Admissions Office no later than July 15th for fall semester enrollment and November 1st for spring semester enrollment.

  • Application for Admission and $25 Application Fee
      • An Admissions representative will contact you after submission to confirm next steps
  • Test Scores (For First-Time Entering Freshmen)
      • Must earn at least a 19 Composite score and a minimum reading score of 19 on ACT & a 19 equivalent for SAT on the ACT or 250 Accuplacer Composite & 250 Accuplacer Reading (Due to COVID-19) or a 980 EBRW+M on the SAT
  • Official transcripts
      • Complete & translated in English, of all secondary and university work
  • International Student Education & Financial Responsibility Form and supporting documentation
  • Transfer Authorization Form (For college transfer students only)
      • Must be complete and received by the above deadlines
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency (Submit one of the following & Freshmen only)
      • ACT score of 19 or above on the English portion of the exam
      • SAT Score of 26 on the Writing/Language and Reading portion
      • 250 or above on Accuplacer Next Generation Writing
      • Or test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
          • Official TOEFL Score Report, sent directly from ETS (CBC’s TOEFL code is 0788) – A minimum score of 500 on the paper-based exam, 173 on the computer-based exam or 61 (iBT)
          • NOTE: Other institutional TOEFL results or completion of an English as a Second Language program will not be accepted.
      • International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
          • Required minimum score of 5.5
      • Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) score of 162 or higher
      • Pearson English Academic (PTE) score of 42 or higher
  • Immunization Records
      • 2 MMR shots and tuberculosis screening
  • On-Campus Housing Application or Off-Campus Housing Request form
  • Housing Deposit ($150 U.S.)*
  • Tuition Deposit ($100 U.S.)*
  • Student Account Payment
      • Pay your bill in full or make payment arrangements with the Business Office (If living on campus, your bill must be paid in full before move-in day)

*Required for Class Registration

Application Fee & Deposits are 100% refundable before May 1st only (June 1st, 2020 due to COVID-19): (Can be paid at separate times)

An I-20 Form will be issued only after you have been accepted for admission at Central Baptist College. Financial aid for international students is, unfortunately, very limited. International students are not eligible for any financial aid provided by the US Government; however, academic or other institutional scholarship information can be found here.  To receive an academic scholarship, a minimum composite score of 19 on the ACT is required.
