CBC Hires new Faculty Members

Central Baptist College is pleased to announce the addition of four new faculty members for the 2016-2017 academic year: Brenda Canoy, Dr. Blake Duffield, Dr. Joshua Kwekel, and Frank Lee. Brenda Canoy has joined the Math & Science Department and will serve as an assistant professor of mathematics. Brenda received her B.A. in mathematics/secondary education and a M.S. in mathematics from the University of Mississippi. Canoy is a member of First Landmark Baptist Church of Sheridan. Brenda has one son, Indiana Rogers. Dr. Blake Duffield has joined the Social Studies Department and will serve as an assistant professor of History. Blake received a B.A. from Ouachita Baptist University, a M.A. and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Arkansas. Duffield holds membership with Cross Church in Fayetteville where he served as a small group leader and college small group host home. He is currently attending Fellowship Bible Church in Conway. Blake is married to, Leslie, and together they have a two year old daughter, Amelia. 


Dr. Joshua Kwekel has joined the Math & Science Department and will serve as an associate professor of biochemistry and molecular biology. Joshua received a B.S. in biomedical sciences from Grand Valley State University and a Ph. D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from Michigan State University. Kwekel is a member of Bible Church of Little Rock where he serves as ministry coordinator for the International Friendship Outreach. Joshua is married to, Courtney, and together they have a son, Ezra. Frank Lee has joined the Kinesiology Department and will serve as an assistant professor of kinesiology, as well as the CBC Mustangs baseball recruiting coordinator. Lee has a B.A. in liberal arts from Williams Baptist College and a master of education from William Woods University. Frank is a member of White Oak Baptist Church of Walnut Ridge. Lee is married to, Teresa, and together they have four children: Brandon, Shayne, Cash and Cirstin.
