Custodial/Grounds Worker Job Description

The Custodial/Grounds Worker is responsible for grounds and custodial. Our goal is to maintain well-kept, safe, healthy, and clean buildings and grounds.

  • General maintenance of grounds (mowing lawn, trimming hedges, weeding, edging, etc.)
  • Uses checklists to ensure standards of excellence in cleaning
  • Vacuums, sweeps, cleans carpets and floors
  • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, surfaces and furniture
  • Cleans receptacles as necessary
  • Cleans window sills and windows
  • Maintains janitor closets and equipment in a clean, organized and safe manner
  • Utilizes designated personal protective equipment and supplies as required
  • Other routine maintenance and janitorial duties as assigned

General Requirements

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Barista Job Description

The job of Barista at Café 52 was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the food service activities at Central Baptist College with specific responsibilities for preparing and serving food items to students and/or school personnel at Café 52 at the Story Library and maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition.

Job Functions

Essential Functions—

Monitors and operates Café 52 during business hours serving the needs of customers.  Taking orders on cash register system, taking money and preparing food orders.  Running the espresso machine, blenders and microwave and preparation of all coffee drinks and special drinks.  Preparation of salads, sandwiches, muffins, scones, condiments as needed.

Cleans utensils, equipment, and storage, food preparation and serving areas for the purpose of maintaining required sanitary conditions.

Maintains equipment, storage, food preparation and serving areas in a sanitary condition for the purpose of complying with current health standards.

Merchandises food and beverage items for the purpose of serving them to students and staff in an efficient manner.

Other responsibilities include working under direct supervision using standardized procedures.  The usual and customary methods of performing  the job’s functions require the following physical demands:  significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.  The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.

Title: PACE Enrollment Counselor

This is a full-time, 12-month position with benefits. The position is responsible for but not limited to:

Reporting to the Director of PACE Enrollment, the Enrollment Counselor represents Central Baptist College to prospective students, organizations, all veterans, active duty, guard or reserve members of the military that are receiving service related benefits and works to increase inquiries and convert applications into enrolled students.  The successful admissions counselor exhibits superior customer service skills and professionalism throughout daily interactions and communications with students including interviews, phone calls, emails and information sessions.  The counselor creates and implements recruitment strategies to reach prospective students through events, referrals, online and print communications, and outreaches to businesses and organizations.  The enrollment counselor must demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members, faculty, students, alumni, administrators and staff.  A flexible work schedule that will include days, evenings, and periodic weekends.  Travel, valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Camp Robinson Military point of contact; required to attend ALL military recruitment events.
  • Work with ROTC, Camp Robinson National Guard, LRAFB, NLR Chamber of Commerce, Youth Challenge, etc. to build effective recruiting relationships.
  • Review prospective PACE student applications for college admission
  • Participate in events/conferences/fairs, communications with prospective students and networking opportunities.
  • Complete weekly activity report to include documentation of recruitment/outreach activities and student appointments.
  • Follow-up with students to notify them of documents needed in order to solidify enrollment.
  • Create student profiles in Campus Anyware, HubSpot, ImageNow (software), and admissions CRM.
  • Work collaborative with various departments to complete applicant approval process.
  • Ability to work on a registration deadline, strive towards PACE enrollment goals and use outstanding customer service to recruit students to the PACE program.
  • Develop and update spreadsheets to contact people with whom workshops, and information sessions can be booked.  Network with new contacts to help increase the awareness of the PACE program.
  • Utilize phone, email, and mail to communicate with prospective students in a timely manner, providing superior customer service.
  • Work with prospective students to garner completed application files prior to enrollment and efforts to increase retention.
  • Collaborate with our growing network of Ambassadors to develop new student/professional networks, garner student referrals.
  • Attend training sessions on the military base to receive updated information about new programs, services, immediate changes, etc.
  • Under the direction of the Director, participate in the events prior, during, and after each term such as information sessions, orientations, registration events and graduation.
  • Ability to work independently, set goals, appointments and promote the PACE program in a positive manner.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Recruiting, management, military background, sales, and/or knowledge of higher education required; Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills; Well-developed presentation skills are required; Goal oriented and intrinsically motivated with superior customer service and networking skills; Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, expertise in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) to be used as a  marketing tools; Ability to manage student files is preferred; Ability to build relationships with students and determine the correct program fit for students’ career and personal goals and follow them through the enrollment process; Experience working with adult population preferred; Professional attire and personal presentation required daily.
