Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President for Finance (VPF) serves as chief financial officer of the College. The VPF will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the College’s finance and accounting functions, business services and auxiliary enterprises, human resources, facilities and physical plant operation, and information technology.

Computer Technician Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

Diagnoses and resolves end-user software, network or local printer problems, hardware problems and e-mail, Internet, and local-area network access problems.

•Responsible for obtaining and thoroughly documenting all pertinent information in the diagnosis and resolution of a problem using the Zen Desk tracking system.

•Train end users on basic hardware, software, and network resources, on a one-one basis.

•Provides Microsoft Windows 10 operating systems support including training and support requests received for Microsoft Office Suite applications and other enterprise IT and business applications.

•Responsible for communicating with end-users regarding incident updates, phone calls and/or email notification. •Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with staff, faculty, and students.

•Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion and judgment when handling sensitive data.

•Additional responsibilities as assigned.

•Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications/ Education

High School Diploma or GED required

Associate degree in Computer systems/ related field or 2 years of equivalent experience preferred

Experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrading of computer equipment is preferred

Experience with Microsoft Office software is required

Experience with modern Microsoft operating systems is required

Prior experienced in a Service Desk or Desktop Support role is preferred

Active certification in an active technical competency with Microsoft or CompTIA is highly desired but not required.
