2019 Connect Days Announced

The Office of Student Services is pleased to announce Connect Days for 2019. Connect Day is a new student orientation program designed to make new students and their families feel welcome at CBC. During Connect Day, new students are welcomed by the Student Orientation Staff, a group of returning CBC students are who available to answer questions and help familiarize new students with campus life. 

New students are then introduced to their academic advisor to make their Fall 2019 class schedule, given the opportunity to meet with the Dean of Students and members of the housing staff, able to meet with the financial aid and the business office to ensure their Fall 2019 finances are in order, and so much more! Reese Hammontree, CBC Freshman from Greenbrier, Arkansas attended Connect Day in 2018. When asked about Connect Day, he said he enjoyed being able to interact with the staff, learn more about them, and see that they really care. He also said, It was a cool opportunity to meet new friends.

 Katie Vandergriff, CBC Junior from Lufkin, Texas attended a Connect Day in 2018 as a transfer student. Katie said, As a transfer student, Connect Day was very beneficial! I really enjoyed how personal it was. I didnt feel like just a number within a larger group of students. I felt as if I was experiencing a typical day at CBC rather than strictly a tour of the campus. Transferring schools can bring out a lot of uncertainties, but Connect Day is really what helped me know I was making the right decision! 2019 Connect Days are April 18, June 18, July 9, July 23, and August 19. 

In order to be eligible for Connect Days, students must submit the following documents to the Admissions Office: To register for an upcoming Connect Day, students must complete the online registration form located at www.cbc.edu/connect. Registration for each Connect Day date is currently open and will close one week prior to the scheduled Connect Day. Visit cbc.edu/WhyCBC to apply or schedule a personal campus visit.
