Central Baptist College announced today that it has earned the 2018 Military Friendly Schools: Top 10 designation by Victory Media. The Military Friendly Schools: Top 10 designation recognizes leading performers for best practices and outcomes in offering military support. Central Baptist College was recognized in the private schools (who do not offer a doctorate degree) category. Now in its 16th year, the Military Friendly Schools list provides a comprehensive guide for veterans and their families using data sources from federal agencies, veteran students and proprietary survey information from participating organizations. Institutions earning the Military Friendly School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey completed by the school. For the first time, student survey data was taken into consideration for the designation. More than 1,300 schools participated in the 2017-2018 survey with 849 earning the designation. The list can be found at www.militaryfriendly.com

CBC President Terry Kimbrow said, It is an honor to be included on the Military Friendly Schools list for the ninth year in a row and to be listed as a Top 10 school. We recognize what U.S. military men and women do for our country. We are committed to helping our military students, veterans, their spouses and their families develop the skills and knowledge needed to pursue their educational dreams. Currently, at CBC, 11% of the institution's total student population is comprised of students from various branches of the U.S. Military. CBC offers an Associate of Science degree in Military Technologies with locations in Conway and in North Little Rock at Camp Robinson. To admitted students, CBC also offers the following benefits to our service men and women: Full time veteran advisers on staff, process enrollment certifications for VA GI Bill Education, Federal Tuition Assistance, tuition discounts of up to 25% for qualifying soldiers, free evaluations of AARTS/SMARTS military transcript, and participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program.

In March of 2017, Central Baptist College announced a special Veteran Education Grant for retirees and veterans of the armed forces. All veterans, active duty, guard or reserve members of the military that are receiving service related benefits are eligible for the tuition discount. The discount will waive the remaining tuition for most military service men and women in both the online & traditional programs. The previous discount was only available for those service men and women that were eligible for Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA). In addition to the Military Technologies Associates degree, CBC offers over 40 degree programs. Twelve of these degree programs are offered in the Professional Adult College Education program and online. This program offers the working adult the opportunity to work full time and obtain their college degree. Central Baptist College is a four-year, private, liberal arts college founded in 1952 by the Baptist Missionary Association of Arkansas.
