October 6, 2026

Central Baptist College is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Newton to serve as the institution’s Vice President for Finance, effective October 1.
Newton brings more than three decades of corporate finance experience and a background in Christian ministry operations to the College’s executive leadership team. After a 25-year career at Acxiom Corporation, Newton spent time at Centennial Bank and other local industries. He most recently directed business operations for Renewal Ranch, a Christ-centered ministry near Conway.
“Kevin’s experience in both corporate finance and Christian ministry makes him a strong addition to our leadership team,” said CBC President Dr. Jeremy Langley. “He understands the importance of sound financial management and the mission those resources support. I am excited to welcome him to CBC and look forward to working alongside him.”
In his new role, Newton will lead the college’s financial operations, working with Langley and other college leaders to guide budgeting, financial planning, and responsible stewardship of CBC’s resources. He will also oversee the offices of Human Resources, Information Technology, and Physical Plant.
"I’m excited about the opportunity to combine my professional experience with my Christian faith in service to Central Baptist College, and am assured of the continued success of the institution’s mission," Newton said. "I’m honored to serve in this role and commit to steward every resource with integrity and ensure that the college is positioned to fulfill its Christ-centered mission for generations to come."
A longtime Greenbrier resident, Newton and his family have attended Antioch Baptist Church in Conway for more than 15 years.
