Central Baptist College softball coach Jordon Jones has been selected for the Marvin Delph Award as the Conway Athletic Awards Commission female sports person of the year. Jones will be honored at a banquet, held on the CBC campus, Jan. 20, 2019, along with mens award winner Ross Duncan. The Marvin Delph Award was named for Conway native and former Arkansas Razorbacks Basketball player Marvin Delph and is bestowed annually to both a male and female winner designated as the Conway sportspersons of the year. This will be the 19th year that the award will be received. Jones, previously selected as the NCCAA National Coach of the Year and as the Raymond Bright Award winner, led CBC to a 42-19 record last season, the best ever for a first-year softball coach in program history and an NCCAA National Championship, their second all-time. Jones will begin her second year as CBC softball coach in February.
