The first Mustang Ambassador of the Year award will be presented at the Central Baptist College Homecoming festivities on Sat., Feb. 3. The Mustang Ambassador program is a volunteer recruitment program created by the Enrollment Management Division at Central Baptist College. The Ambassador of the Year 2018 award recipient is Micah Powell of Bryant. Powell, a 2015 graduate with a Bible and Music degree, is currently the Worship and Adult Pastor at Park Place Baptist Church in Bryant, Ark.

The Ambassador of the Year award honors Powell for his outstanding student recruitment efforts and partnership with the Admissions office at CBC The program was designed to connect CBC alumni and friends with the Admissions Office for both traditional and post traditional (PACE) student recruitment. The vision of the program is to utilize personal connections to identify prospective-students. Members have their own personal friend network and know prospective-students, which allows CBC to multiply its message. Mustang Ambassadors serve in a few different ways, such as social media partners, prospective-student encouragers, and/or event recruiters. Anyone who is passionate about partnering with Central Baptist College student recruitment efforts is encouraged to sign up at cbc.edu/Ambassador.
