Amber Horton is a Sophomore at CBC and from Vilonia, Arkansas. Beauty and the Beast will be Amber’s first time on the stage at CBC. This will be her 4th show to participate in with previous appearances in (Game of Tiaras), (Arsenic and Old Lace), and (Music Man) as a backstage crew member. Since this is Amber’s first time officially taking the stage at CBC, she is excited to participate in this year’s Beauty and the Beast.
Natalie Smith is currently taking courses through CBC as a senior in high school. “The Beauty and The Beast” is her first official musical where she will be playing a part in the ensemble. Natalie has previously been in two other musicals which were independent shows and one play throughout her theatre career. This will be her first true musical, making this her acting debut! She is so excited for you to see the show she and her castmates have worked so hard to build and she hopes you love the show!
Ethan Smith is a sophomore student who is a part of the ensemble as “villager with a knife” in this year's “Beauty and the Beast”. This is Ethan’s second show at CBC having previously been in “The Music Man” as the “Constable” which was his acting debut! He would like to thank his family and friends, especially his friends here at CBC, for always supporting him throughout his life. Ethan’s favorite line in the whole show is “I'll get the knife!” Ethan hopes you’ll come to the show he and his cast mates have worked so hard to bring you, and that when you do you’ll enjoy it just as much as he has enjoyed taking part in it!
Jayla Kramer is a Junior at CBC from Conway, AR, who has been involved with musical theater since she was a sophomore in high school. Beauty & the Beast is her 2nd show at CBC & has been previously been in Treasure Island ("Villager" 2018), Best in the West ("Dora" 2019), Sherlock Holmes and the Mariner's Wraith ("Police Thug" 2020) and Music Man ("Gracie" 2022). She wants to thank both of her directors Suzanne Banister & Lauren Hager for the opportunity to perform for this production & also wants to thank her family & close friends for the support like they always do. Jayla hopes that everyone enjoys the show as they perform the Broadway production of Beauty & the Beast!
Bryson Chambers has been in 3 shows, with 2 of which being at CBC. The first of which is Elf the Musical as Mr. Greenway in 2019. The second being the musical review here at CBC in 2021. With the third being the Music Man in which he played the bass singer of the quartet. In the upcoming musical Beauty and the Beast he will be playing Prince Adam as well as playing with the pit orchestra.
Kat Carson is a senior from Springdale, Arkansas, majoring in Communications and Psychology and Social Services. She has been involved in the performing arts all her life. In high school, Kat performed in her theater troupe’s production of Guys and Dolls and competed in state festivals where she received all superior ratings. Last year she helped with hair and makeup for Music Man. At CBC, she is in the Chamber, Worship and Singers choirs. Kat would like to thank her family and friends for their enduring love and continuous support. She would also like to especially thank Lauren Hager and Suzanne Banister for the opportunity to perform and their dedication to the production.
Classically trained as a pianist and organist, Alejandro has always been involved in the thespian community as both a musician and as an actor. Alejandro was the organist for numerous masses held by the Catholic church. He speaks Spanish fluently and has used this for roles such as Sancho Panza in Don Quixote (2015). Some highlights of his career include Mayor Shinn (The Music Man 2022), the voice of Audrey II (Little Shop of Horrors 2014), and Jud Fry (Oklahoma 2016). He has filled in various roles off stage as well using his crafty nature to design and make stage props and weaponry. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a Musical Theater minor and has taken acting classes with Dr. Jana Jones.
Jaden Gunnels is a freshman from Conway, Arkansas. Beauty and the Beast is Jaden’s third musical. She was involved in Pride and Prejudice (Ensemble, 2021) and Alice in Wonderland (Dancer, 2022). Jaden would like to thank her sister for encouraging her to try out and being supportive along the way. Jaden hopes you enjoy the show!
Ashanti Williams is a Junior from Jonesboro, Arkansas. Beauty and the beast is Ashanti’s second show with CBC and 4th theater production overall, previously being involved in Beetlejuice (Girl Scout 2018), Brightstar (Margo Crawford 2019). and Music Man (2022). Ashanti would like to thank her friends and family for encouraging her and supporting her through it all. Grace Vandergriff is a sophomore from Lufkin, Texas. Beauty and the Beast is Grace’s 2nd show with CBC. She has previously been involved with Music Man (“Ethel Toffelmier” 2022). Grace would like to thank her family and friends for helping and supporting her through it all. Grace would also like to thank everyone who puts in the time to make the show possible. Grace hopes that you will enjoy the show and that it gives you a bigger love for Disney!
To members of the Conway community, Mike Woodrum's voice is very familiar. He was a radio broadcaster who served as the voice of the Conway Wampus Cats from 1987-2005. Mike has just finished his second season as Public Address Announcer for Central Baptist College's Men's and Women's Basketball games. He has performed in several Opera Scenes programs and was cast in the role of Foreman for performances of Gilerbert and Sullivan's "Trial By Jury". He has appeared in other musical productions including "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Oliver", "Seusical", "Oklahoma", and "9-5". Mike wants to thank Lauren Hager, Mrs. Bannister, Dee and Mona, and most of all God andJesus for giving him the grace to live life every day.
Kailey Sullivan is a Freshman at CBC and has never been in any theatre production. This will be her first show! Kailey is very excited to be playing the talking teacup Chip and is excited to see everyone’s reaction after the musical. She is also very excited to get her first theatre experience at CBC with all of her close friends. Kailey would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her and always helping where it is needed! She’d also like to thank her best friends Jaden Gunnels and Cayce Harper for asking her to do the musical with them! Kailey hopes y’all will take away a valuable lesson from the musical and cannot wait to share the precious story through CBC theatre!
Katie Manary is a sophomore at CBC this year and she is originally from Searcy, Arkansas. She participated in her first musical theater production last year at CBC’s rendition of The Music Man (“Alma Hix” 2022). She would like to thank Lauren Hager and Suzanne Banister for giving her the opportunity to participate in this year’s musical. Allison Mantooth is a senior kinesiology major from San Antonio who has the honor of playing the “Madam De La Grande Busch” (Wardrobe) in this year's “Beauty and the Beast”! Allison has previously starred in “The Music Man” as “Marian Paroo” which was her acting debut! Allison would like to thank her family, friends, and directors for alway being there and supporting her in everything she does! She hope you’ll enjoy this show as she has enjoyed being in it!
Julian Lilley is a junior Instrumental Music Education major from Dardanelle, Arkansas. He has taken part of last years’ production of Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man” with the CBC Musical Theater program. He is portraying “Gaston” in this years’ production of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”. Julian is beyond excited to get to take part in this program, and he is so grateful to all who continuously encourage and push him to work hard and create something awesome such as: The Lilley family, his girlfriend – Ashleigh Daugherty, his influential band directors through the years Clay Hooten, Danielle Hodges, and Jim Daughters. Julian can’t wait to take the stage with his friends and colleagues, and provide a fun musical for CBC’s faithful audiences!
Hannah Long is a junior from Higden, Arkansas. This is her second show with CBC having previously been in Music Man where she had the pleasure of portraying Mrs. Paroo. Hannah is very excited to get to play a role as iconic as Mrs. Potts, and has had so much fun participating in the show. She would like to thank her family and friends for always encouraging her in everything she does. She hopes everyone enjoys the show!
Ashleigh Daugherty is a senior at CBC from Tupelo Mississippi, who has loved and been a part of musical theatre since she became a student here. Beauty and the Beast is Ashleigh’s third show at CBC and her first time debuting as the lead, Belle! She has previously been involved in the Music Man as the mayor’s wife Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn and 100 Years of Broadway Musical Review. She is so excited to be able to have the opportunity to be a part of this show, and is even more grateful to Mrs. Banister for guiding her vocally over these past few years and helping her transform into a confident vocalist! She is also grateful to the ones involved in the cast as well as backstage and to Lauren Hager for pulling this show together! She is grateful to her family and sister Shelbbie for inspiring her to start theatre from a young age, and never giving up on her and always being supportive of her efforts! She is also thrilled to be able to work alongside her boyfriend, Julian, who is playing Gaston. Ashleigh is thrilled to be able to show you Beauty and the Beast and hopes you will all enjoy the show as much as she has enjoyed being a part of putting it together.
Caleb Allen is a Senior at Central Baptist College from Rogers, Arkansas. Caleb has been involved with musical theatre since his Sophomore year at CBC but has grown up surrounded by music. Beauty and the Beast is Caleb’s 3rd musical production, with his first being 100 Years of Broadway; A Musical Review (2021), and the second being The Music Man (“Marcellus Washburn” 2022); Caleb also has competed in Arkansas NATS competitions in the Theater division, and has made it to the semifinals one year, the finals the next, and he is hoping to win first place it this year’s competition. This is Caleb’s first time having a lead role in a production, and he is ready to bring the role of "the Beast" to life on stage. He would also like to offer a special thanks to Directors Lauren Hager and Suzanne Banister for giving him this opportunity to portray such an important character, and he hopes that audiences will enjoy the show as much as he has enjoyed preparing for the role!
A.J. Woodraska is a Senior at Central Baptist College from Chicago Illinois, who has been involved in theatre since he was a Freshman in high school. Beauty and the Beast is A.J. 's 3rd show with CBC and his 9th theatre production overall, previously appearing in The Music Man (Prof. Harold Hill), 100 years of Broadway, Cinderella, Guys and Dolls, Once on this Island, and Bye Bye Birdie. This is A.J.'s final appearance in a musical at CBC and he is thankful to all of the directors and staff he's had the opportunity to work with and learn from over the years. And a special thanks to all of the amazing cast members here at CBC!
Cayce Harper is a Junior at CBC. He is from Oklahoma City, where he first started his theatre career in High School. Cayce will be playing the role of “Cogsworth”, the very English butler to the beast, in this production of Beauty and The Beast. This show will be Cayce’s 5th musical, and 12th stage production overall including both musicals and plays. Some notable roles Cayce has had the privilege to play include Jud Fry from “Oklahoma!” and Daddy Warbucks from “Annie.” Cayce is super excited to be able to put on an entertaining show for his friends and family to experience!
