Central Baptist College is challenging, engaging and inspiring because of the academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment. With over 40 associate’s and bachelor’s degrees students are prepared to enter the ministry or the marketplace with excellence.

CBC students can choose to earn a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in either Exercise Science, Sport Management or Physical Education.

Students can also be qualified candidates for acceptance into Physical Therapy graduate school. Or pursue an Athletic Training career within a school’s athletic department or professional sports team after graduate school.
The Sport Management emphasis is 50% kinesiology and 50% business. Students are prepared for graduate degrees in either an M.A.A. (Master’s in Athletic Administration) or M.B.A. (Master’s in Business Administration). Graduates can pursue jobs in a variety of career fields. For example, community recreation in a city’s Parks & Recreation Department or in a Boy’s & Girl’s Club. Sales, product development or marketing careers with a major market company, such as Nike, Under Armor, or Adidas. Equip you to own and/or run a sporting goods business. Or work in a college athletic department, in a front office of a professional sports team, or a professional sports agency, representing professional athletes.
The Physical Education emphasis is 50% Kinesiology and 50% Education. Graduates in this emphasis have the desire to become a junior high or high school P.E. teacher. Students can also choose to obtain their coaching endorsement, if desired.
CBC Kinesiology graduates are well prepared for the workforce and graduate school. Current CBC graduates are working in the front office with professional baseball teams. As well as, high school teachers and coaches. They are also enrolled in chiropractic school, physical therapy school, and nursing school.
Dr. Brister says, “I believe that the level of excellence in our Kinesiology Program is second to none! For a small liberal arts college, our professors and adjunct professors have over 50 years’ worth of combined teaching experience! That is hard to find. We take the quality of our course offerings very serious! It is our goal here at Central Baptist College to see our graduates become phenomenal Christian leaders in the business world around the globe. We have two graduates, Scott Gracey and Dillon Cates, who are currently completing their 4th trimester out of 10 at Cleveland University in Kansas City to become Chiropractors. We are very proud of all of our CBC Kinesiology graduates.”
While being prepared through academic excellence in the classroom. Students are immersed in a Christ-centered environment while learning from highly accomplished faculty and staff on how to glorify our Almighty God through a life of service and leadership in their chosen career field.
